Blue Face Painting

Face paint and a little imagination will have your little one barking Blue's language.

Watch Blue's Clues every day on Nick Jr.

You'll need to allow extra time for glue or paint to dry.

This craft requires extra parent involvement and a watchful eye, because it may require sharp tools or intricate handiwork.

Step-by-Step Video

Materials

Water-based face paints
Brushes or cotton swabs
Water for mixing the paints (and for the cleanup)
Washcloths, wipes, or paper towels (just in case)

Tip: Use paint sparingly to prevent smearing.

Directions

Step 1
Start by painting a dark blue mushroom shape on the tip of the nose.
Step 2
Next, paint light blue circles in various sizes on the face--forehead, cheeks, and chin. Just add a costume and it's Blue!

Tip: If you're covering large areas of the face, use a sponge, not a brush.
