Bubble Guppies Bubbles Kit

Add some pop to your child's next play date with a homemade bubble kit! Follow our step by steps for a simple bubble recipe, Bubble Guppies-branded jar to put it in, and Guppy character and fish-shaped wands!

Materials

• 1/2 cup dishwashing detergent
• 1 1/2 cup of water
• 2 tbsp Glycerin or light corn syrup
• Large bowl or bucket
• Whisk
• Empty 12 ounce jar with lid
• Bubble Guppies labels
• Bubble wand stencils
• Large yogurt or plastic tops
• Scissors
• Glue or cellophane tape

Directions

1. Step 1: Mix up a batch of bubbles!

   Slowly mix the dishwashing detergent and water in a large bowl or bucket. Add the glycerin or light corn syrup and gently stir the mixture with the whisk. Set the bubble solution aside.<br><br> For longer-lasting bubbles, make the bubble solution the night before and leave the container uncovered.

2. Step 2: Create a cool container

   Print and cut out the Bubble Guppies labels. Let you child select a label, then paste or tape it onto the jar. Consider securing the label on using cellophane tape to protect it from getting damaged by the bubble solution.<br><br> Once the jar is dry, carefully pour the bubble solution inside and fasten the lid on the jar.

3. Step 3: Make character wands

   Print out the bubble wand stencils and cut out the images. Trace the cutouts onto yogurt or plastic lids then cut the images out of the lids.

4. Step 4: Enjoy the bubble kit!

   You and your child are all done making the bubble kit and it's time to test your bubble-blowing skills! Have a friendly contest with your child to see who can blow the biggest bubble--or, how about catching or counting bubbles together! You can even get active with your child by running, jumping, and spinning to make bubbles!
