Bubble Guppies Gingerbread House Craft

Create a gingerbread house that you can pack away and kids can play with for countless Christmas seasons to come! Gather four cereal boxes and our printables to get started. Watch "Happy Holidays, Mr. Grumpfish" and help your kids put on their own festive show.

Materials

• 4 cereal boxes
• Gingerbread House Templates
• Gingerbread House Decorations
• Character Puppets
• Scissors
• Stapler
• Glue
• White paint (optional)
• Cotton balls (optional)

Directions

1. Step 1

   Print all templates on cardstock paper.

2. Step 2

   Break the cereal boxes so that they lie flat. Paint two of the cereal boxes white and allow time for them to dry. One will be used as the roof and the other will be used as the ground.

3. Step 3

   Take the other cereal boxes and stand them on one of the painted cereal boxes. Allow the boxes to bend along the folds and create a square shape using both of the boxes. Staple the two boxes together in this shape (they will have to overlap at one of the folds in order to achieve this shape).<br><br> Secure what you created onto the painted cereal box with glue.

4. Step 4

   Paste the gingerbread house templates onto the box and cut where indicated. Fold the other painted cereal box in half and secure onto the gingerbread house templates' flaps. Cut the roof as needed.<br><br> Fold the chimney template along the solid lines to form a box and secure with glue. Affix to the top of the roof down the center (see photo for reference).

5. Step 5

   Cut out the decorations and help your child decorate the sides of the house and roof as desired (see photo for reference).<br><br> Cut out the characters, fold down the center and fold up the line located at the base of the characters. Apply glue to the back of one of the sides (do not apply glue to the base) and fold the printable to create a double-sided character.<br><br> When complete, kids can put on a festive show!
