Diego Father's Day Change Holder

Create a special soft-sided box for Dad's loose change and keys. Embellished with one big jaguar paw and one little one, it will be a constant reminder that your little one is following in Dad's footsteps.

Materials

• Blue, green, and orange felt
• A small piece of stiff cardboard
• Scissors
• Fabric glue
• Hole punch
• Plastic lanyard cord or yarn
• Baby Jaguar Paw Print Template

Directions

1. Step 1

   Cut two 6-inch squares of felt, one from green and one from blue. Cut a 4 1/2-inch square from cardboard.

2. Step 2

   Apply glue to the surface of the cardboard square, then press it onto the center of the blue square. Apply glue to the surface of the green felt square and press it over the cardboard and blue felt square. (The edges won't quite meet, but you'll trim this later).

3. Step 3

   Cut out the templates and trace them onto orange felt. Cut out the paw pieces. Glue them to the center of the green square.

4. Step 4

   After the glue has dried, cut around the perimeter of the entire square so the felt edges look neat.

5. Step 5

   Pinch one corner of the felt square, holding it close to the corner of the cardboard hidden inside. Hole-punch and thread a short piece of lanyard cord through the hole. Tie a knot. Snip the ends. Repeat for the remaining corners.
