Prehistoric Pencil Toppers

It takes just a few scissor snips and your kids will show they have the "write" stuff.

Materials

• Pencil, pens, or other writing implemets that are similar in shape
• Scissors
• Printable Dino Dan Toppers
• Optional: Straws

Directions

1. Step 1

   Print out the Dino Dan Toppers on a color printer. Have your child cut out their favorite dinosaurs along the dashed lines.

2. Step 2

   Take each dinosaur piece and fold in half vertically. Where indicated, make two small slits at the top and bottom of the designs with scissors. These will be the holes to slip the pencil through.

3. Step 3

   Slide a pencil through the holes from top to bottom (be careful the topper doesn't get caught on the metallic end near the eraser!). Now your kids can take dino notes just like Dino Dan.

4. Step 4

   Try topping straws to add some dino decor to kids' drinks!
