Dora Gymnastics Theater

Build your child an amazing arena out of recyclable boxes and our printables. Kids can help Dora do cartwheels and put on a fantastic gymnastic show when you follow these simple steps.

Materials

• Dora Gymnastics Theater Printables
• 1 small box (such as a macaroni & cheese box)
• 1 cereal box
• 1 straw
• 1 brass fastener
• Scissors
• Glue
• Puppets

Directions

1. Step 1

   Print out the Dora Gymanstics Theater Printables and puppets and cut out all the pieces.

2. Step 2

   Glue the balance beam printable onto the small box.<br><br> Break the cereal box down until it is flat. Attach the two printables with the glue tabs to the printable that includes the orange floor mat. Once glued, affix this to the cereal box for durability.

3. Step 3

   Fold the trampoline and glue to the floor printable where indicated. Set up the arena as shown in the image.

4. Step 4 (to create Dora puppet)

   Fold the Dora printable in half and punch a hole where indicated. Insert the brass fastener into the hole. Cut small slits into the straw and insert the brad fastener legs into the slits. Glue the Dora printable together and allow it to dry.

5. Step 5

   Create the base of the puppet by folding up the solid black line, then fold the character down the center, apply glue to one side and firmly press both sides together. This will create a double-sided puppet that stands (glue should not be applied to the base of the puppet).<br><br> When the characters are dry, kids can put on a that the judges will score a 10!
