Dora the Explorer Pet Tags

Distinguish your child's puppy with a customized Dora pet tag. Shrinkable plastic is the secret to the slick finish.

This craft requires extra parent involvement and a watchful eye, because it may require sharp tools or intricate handiwork.

You'll need to allow extra time for glue or paint to dry.

Materials

Pet Tag Printable
Shrink plastic (such as Shrinky Dinks)
Scissors
Hole punch
Paper clips

Tip: Shrinkable plastic is available at stationary supply stores.

Directions

Step 1
To make a personalized Dora pet tag for your family pet, print the Pet Tag Printable on a color printer on shrink plastic, such as Shrinky Dinks (from office-supply and craft stores).
Step 2
When the ink has dried (about 10 minutes) help kids write in the name of your pet using a marker and then help cut out the shapes and punch holes where indicated.
Step 3
Follow the instructions on the shrinky-plastic package to shrink the tags in the oven (about 5 minutes). Remove from the oven, allow to cool, and attach to your pet's collar.

Tip: Enlarge or shrink this design to the size that's best for your pet.
