Dora's Royal Rescue Storybook

Oh, no! Malambruno has taken all the books out of Noble Forest, and now it's disappearing. It's up to Dora and your little explorer to create a story with a happy ending and to pretend to restore the Noble Forest (just like Dora does in "Dora's Royal Rescue Adventure"). Print the templates to make a storybook in which kids can draw themselves and read over and over again!

This craft has plenty of steps kids can do, like tracing, coloring, decorating, and cutting with safety scissors.

You'll need to allow extra time for glue or paint to dry.

Directions

Step 1
Print the Storybook Printables and cut to remove the white borders around each page. Allow kids to draw and write their names where indicated. Paste the printables back to back (follow instructions included with printables). Allow time to dry and fold each printable in half to create the book.
Step 2
Punch holes where indicated. Unfold the pages and take a piece of string or yarn and lace through the bottom two holes. Next, help kids lace the book as they would a sneaker.
Step 3
Fold the bookmark in half and glue both sides together to make a double-sided bookmark. Punch a hole where indicated and string the bookmark printable to the end of the string and knot.<br><br> Now your child's storybook is complete! Print the pages again and encourage kids to come up with different story endings.
