Dora the Explorer Star Tree Topper

Let your little one's creativity shine when you print out this star template and create a tree topper together. Then grab a ladder and let your child place his or her creation atop the tree.

Materials

• Dora's Star Tree Topper Template
• Orange craft foam
• Yellow craft foam
• Pink craft foam
• Red craft glitter felt (board style so it's stiff)
• White faux-fur trim
• Wiggly eyes in extra-large
• Foamie glue
• Flat dowel, about 8 to 10 in. in length
• Green and yellow tempera paint

Directions

1. Step 1

   Print and cut out Dora's Star Tree Topper template. Trace the shapes onto the corresponding colored foams and felt (as indicated on the printables). From the faux-fur trim, cut a strip to the width of the hat and a round piece for a pom-pom.

2. Step 2

   Glue on the wiggly eyes, eyebrows, and mouth. Then add the hat, trim, and pom-pom. Let dry.

3. Step 3

   Meanwhile, paint the bottom of the dowel green so it will blend with your tree. If the reverse side of the topper will be visible, you can paint it yellow to disguise the dowel.
