Fresh Beat Concert Binoculars

Prepare kids for the "Band In A Jam" episode by crafting a kickin' pair of oversized binoculars. All you'll need for this craft to be a hit is a few recyclables and kids with big imaginations.

Materials

• Fresh Beat Binocular Template
• 2 paper cups
• Serrated knife
• 2 paper towel rolls
• Stapler
• Glue or tape
• Crayon, markers, or paint (optional)

Directions

1. Step 1

   Print the Fresh Beat Binoculars template and cut where indicated.

2. Step 2

   Draw a circle on the bottom of each of the paper cups by tracing the paper towel roll. Parents use the serrated knife to cut the circles out of each of the cups.

3. Step 3

   If the cups are white, kids can use crayons, markers, or paint to add color to the cups. Once this is done, slip the paper towel rolls into the cut circles, and then staple the cups together with a stapler.

4. Step 4

   Wrap the template around the paper towel rolls and secure with glue or tape.<br><br> The binoculars are complete and now kids have cool gear for the on-air concert of the year!
