Gil Easter Egg

Looking for an egg-stra special way to surprise your Guppy fan? We bet they'll crack up when they see this egg that looks like Gil! "Crack" up--get it?

This craft requires extra parent involvement and a watchful eye, because it may require sharp tools or intricate handiwork.

You'll need to allow extra time for glue or paint to dry.

Ages: 4-6

Materials

Large egg, hardboiled and cooled to room temperature
Printable template
Sticker paper
Yellow construction paper or cardstock
Stapler (optional) or craft glue

Directions

Step 1
Print and cut out stickers for the hair, eyes, nose, eyebrows and mouth pieces.
Step 2
Very carefully, peel the paper backing. With the egg in a vertical position, apply the stickers.
Step 3
Cut a 1 1/2- x 6-inch strip from yellow construction paper or cardstock. Curl it to create a ring and staple or glue it closed. Rest Gil on the stand!

Tip: For less cutting and sticking, use a fine-tip black marker to draw in the eyebrows.
