Gobbling Turkey Hat

Sheets of foamie and a pair of scissors let kids create a custom-made holiday headpiece that pays tribute to Thanksgiving's favorite bird.

Materials

• Brown, red, yellow, orange, and gray foamies in
• Scissors
• Foamie glue
• Black marker
• Stapler

Directions

1. Step 1

   From the brown foamie, cut a long strip (customize to your child's head, allowing extra for overlap).

2. Step 2

   From the brown foamie, cut out an hour-glass-shaped piece for the turkey front. Cut a triangle from the orange for the beak. Cut a waddle from the red. Glue them on.

3. Step 3

   Draw on the eyes.

4. Step 4

   Cut out long pointy feathers from the orange, gray, red, and yellow.

5. Step 5

   Staple the feathers to the back of the headband, and glue the turkey body to the front.
