Kai-lan's Flower Shoe Clips

Send your little one off on a toe-tapping adventure. These shoe-clips take only minutes to make--and they'll sparkle when she walks.

Materials

• Stiff glitter felt in red and purple
• Felt in orange
• Fabric glue
• Stronger glue adhesive (parents only)
• Shoe-clips

Directions

1. Step 1

   From the red glitter felt, cut out two circles. Then cut triangular notches along the edges to create petals.

2. Step 2

   From the purple glitter felt, cut out two circles about 1/2 inch larger in circumference than the red circles. Cut curves to create little points along the edges.

3. Step 3

   From the orange felt, cut two small circles. Snip toward their centers to create "frayed" edges.

4. Step 4

   From purple glitter felt, cut out two tiny circles.

5. Step 5

   Stack and glue the pieces as follows: Large purple on the bottom, then the red blooms, then the orange centers, and finally the tiny purple circles.

6. Step 6

   After the glue is dry, use a stronger glue to apply the designs to the tops of the shoe clips. Let dry before adding the clips to shoes.
