Get ready to start strumming with Kiki and The Fresh Beat Band when you and your kids make this play guitar out of reused household items.
Catch the beats every day on Nick Jr.

Print the Kiki Guitar Templates (in color for best results). Cut out the guitar body (page 1), guitar neck (page 2), and the guitar top (page 3).
Set aside the guitar neck. Use scissors to cut apart the cereal box to create one large piece of cardboard. Glue the guitar body and the guitar top onto the cardboard using a glue stick. Then cut out the shapes again. The guitar body and guitar top now have a sturdy cardboard backing.
Wrap the guitar neck printable around the empty paper towel roll and secure with tape. You may need to trim your paper towel roll so it is completely covered by the guitar neck printable.
On the guitar body, use a thumbtack or safety pin to poke holes into each of the six blue dots on either end of the string lines. Wiggle the thumbtack or safety pin around as you poke the hole to make sure it is wide enough to accept a rubber band. <br /><br /> Cut the rubber bands and use a paper clip or a pencil tip to push each end through the string holes. Tie knots in the back to secure them in place.
Cut two slits in the top of the guitar body alongside the brown-and-white striped section. These slits should extend down about 1 1/2 inches. Now cut corresponding 1 1/2-inch slits on either side of the paper towel roll. <br /><br /> Slide the paper towel roll down onto the guitar body, aligning the slits. Continue sliding them together until the paper towel roll is secured to the guitar body.
Apply glue stick along the bottom of the guitar head and affix to the top of the paper towel roll. Allow the glue to dry.
