Magenta Costume

Whether for Halloween or just for fun, this costume is sure to be a hit. Begin with basics such as long sleeved tee shirts and leggings. Only basic craft supplies are needed to do the rest.

Materials

1 yd. magenta felt
Craft glue
Pink leggings
Pink sweatshirt
Headband
3 pink socks
12-in.-square pink felt
4 sheets pink craft foam
2 pipe cleaners
Magenta's Glasses Printable
Magenta-colored paper gift bag

Tip: If you can't find the basic clothing pieces in stores, try shopping online.

Directions

Step 1
Cut out magenta felt spots and glue on the leggings and sweatshirt. Leave some for ears.
Step 2
Cover the headband with a strip of pink felt. Glue.
Step 3
Cut four ear shapes from craft foam for each side of headband. Sandwich the pipe cleaners between two of each shape, and glue the edges together so the ears stand up.
Step 4
Glue magenta felt spots to the ears.
Step 5
Glue the bottom edge of each ear to the headband. Shape the ears so that they flop over and hang down.
Step 6
Print out and make Magenta's Eyeglasses.
Step 7
Carry a paper goody bag.
