Milli's costume is powered with simple flower petal patterns made from felt.
Find the math mavens every day on Nick & NIck Jr.

Start by making the mask. Print and cut out the Milli Costume Templates. Please note the head portion of the mask template should be enlarged by 20 percent. Trace the mask shape onto the cardboard and cut it out.
Trace the mask template onto the dark-pink felt. Trace the templates onto the different colored felt pieces. Trace 30 mask petals onto pale-pink felt; mask toppers onto yellow felt, and the oval shape for the inner part of the mask onto yellow felt.
Glue the yellow mask toppers to the cardboard piece. Staple one grosgrain ribbon to the underside of each topper for Milli's ponytails.
Attach the elastic string on either side of the mask opening, adjusting its length to fit your child's head.
Glue the dark-pink mask piece, yellow oval, and petals (arranged in flower shapes) to the front of the cardboard mask. Set aside.
For the dress, trace the dress template onto the dark-pink felt. Glue at the shoulder seams and side seams. Turn it over and cut a long slit down the back. Attach 2 of the velcro closures to close the dress after it's placed over your child's head. Glue on the petals in flower shapes. Set aside.
Now, for the boots! These are covers that slip over your child's actual shoes and you can adjust their length as needed. Trace the templates for the boot pieces onto the pale-pink, dark-pink and yellow felt pieces.
Glue the boot pieces together along the curved edge of the front only, starting at the front base of the toe and stopping at the top. Apply the sole, strap, and button pieces. For the back closure, apply 2 Velcro closures. Slip over your child's shoes, then do up the closure in the back. The bottom of the soles remain open, and your child is actually walking on her own shoe's soles.
