Moose Decorative Egg

Create this clever egg for Easter, or at any time of year. Use a real egg or a plastic one.

Materials

• Large plastic yellow egg, about 3 1/2 inches tall
• Moose Egg Template
• Medium cork
• Craft glue
• Self-adhesive wiggly eyes
• Fine black marker
• Yellow modeling clay (such as Fimo®)
• Brown craft foam
• Yellow craft foam or construction paper
• Stapler or clear adhesive tape

Directions

1. Step 1: For the face

   Turn the egg upside down, using the round part (not the pointy part) as the top. With craft glue, affix the cork just below the egg's seam. When the glue is dry, press on the wiggly eyes. Draw a small mouth below, and to one side, of the mouth.

2. Step 2: For the antlers

   Using the antler templates, cut two antler shapes from craft foam. Roll two small balls of yellow clay for ears. Press one end of each antler into each ball of clay. Press the ears and antlers onto the head.

3. Step 3: For the collar

   From yellow construction paper, cut a 1- by 8-inch strip. Curl the strip to create a loop. Staple or tape the loop closed. Set Moose inside the collar.
