Nick Jr. Pals Bottle Cap Magnets

Hang that great preschool artwork on the fridge with magnets that feature a favorite Nick Jr. show. We used soda bottle caps, which are quite small, but you can use metal lids of any size.

You'll need to allow extra time for glue or paint to dry.

Materials

Bottle caps or jar lids
Acrylic paints
Small paint brushes
Craft magnets
Glue
Olivia Ears Template (for Olivia magnet only)
Pink felt

Directions

Step 1
Gather paints in the colors you'll need for your character. For Olivia, 2 tones of pink; for Pablo, blue, red, yellow, black, and white; for Wonder Pets, red, yellow and blue; and for Kai lan's ladybug, red and black.
Step 2
Paint the background color and let it dry (about 30 minutes). If necessary, apply a second coat.
Step 3
Add the facial features. Let dry. If you are making Olivia, print, trace, and cut out the ears template. Glue the felt ear shape to the back side of the bottlecap so that only the ears show at the front. Place a magnet on the reverse side; secure with glue.
