Dora's No-Sew Unicorn Craft

Materials

• 1 large white sock
• Polyester filling
• Yellow felt
• Black marker or puffy paint
• Light blue felt
• Black felt
• White felt
• Turquoise felt
• Light turquoise yarn
• Dowel or broomstick
• Twine
• Scissors
• Glue (fabric glue suggested)

Directions

1. Step 1

   Fill the large sock with polyester filling. Leave 3 to 4 inches unstuffed at the opening.

2. Step 2

   Cut out the yellow felt in a triangle and roll into a horn, gluing the edges together. Once dry, draw a spiral going around the horn with a black marker or puffy paint. Let dry. Glue onto the sock (see photo for reference).

3. Step 3

   Cut out light blue ovals (eyes), black circles (pupils), small black ovals (nostrils), and white triangles (ears). Fold the bottom two corners of the triangles inward to create a 3D effect. Glue to hold the shape. Glue the individual pieces onto the sock, using the photo as a guide. Let dry.

4. Step 4

   Cut a 3/4-inch wide strip of turquoise felt and make it as long as you want (this is the mane). Glue the felt down the center or the sock. Cut turquoise yarn about 8 inches long and lay down your yarn pieces on the felt, making sure they align evenly. Glue the yarn to the felt. Let dry.

5. Step 5

   Insert one end of the dowel or broomstick into the end of the sock. Glue the sock around the dowel or broomstick, and tie it with a piece of twine for extra support. Once secure, kids can gallop off with Dora's friend King Unicornio!
