Olivia Egg

Celebrate spring with egg-stra flair--Olivia style. The jumbo-sized plastic egg is easier for preschoolers to handle than its real counterpart, and it won't break, either.

Materials

• Jumbo pink plastic egg
• Printable templates
• Felt, foamie, or construction paper in pink
• Brown marker
• Craft glue
• Brown construction paper
• Red or pink construction paper or cardstock
• Stapler (optional)

Directions

1. Step 1

   Print and cut out the templates for the nose, ears, and mouth.

2. Step 2

   Trace the nose and ear templates onto foamie, construction paper, or felt. Cut out the pieces.

3. Step 3

   On the nose, draw nostrils with the marker.

4. Step 4

   Glue the nose to the front of the egg. Glue the ear piece to the back of the egg. Let dry.

5. Step 5

   From the brown paper, cut out two narrow strips for eyes. Glue the eyes to the egg and draw a curved line below the nose as the mouth.

6. Step 6

   Cut a 1 1/2-inch- x 6-inch strip from red or pink construction paper or cardstock. Curl it to create a ring and staple or glue it closed. Rest Olivia on her new stand!
