Olivia's Puppet Theater

Put on an Olivia puppet show. All you'll need is a shoe box, scissors, printables, and your child's vivid imagination!

This craft has plenty of steps kids can do, like tracing, coloring, decorating, and cutting with safety scissors.

Materials

Puppet Theater Backdrops
Scissors
Shoe box (grown-up size is recommended)
Glue stick
Tape
Olivia Printable Puppets
Craft sticks (or popsicle sticks, pencils, chopsticks)

Directions

Step 1: Print the Backdrops
Print out the nine-page <a href="olivia-puppet-templates.jhtml">Olivia Puppet Theater Backdrops</a> to decorate the inside and outside of your shoe box.
Step 2: Set Design
Help your child cut out the backdrops to fit your box. Use the photo as a guide.
Step 3: Make the Puppets
Print the <a href="olivia-puppets.jhtml">Olivia Puppets</a> and help your child cut them out. Glue or tape the characters to craft sticks (or popsicle sticks, pencils, chop sticks) and you've got puppets!
Step 5: Put on a Show
Place the box on the edge of a table and add a loop of tape to the bottom to attach it firmly in place. Now you and your child can imagine Olivia and her friends on an imaginary (and imaginative) adventure.
