Olivia's Puppet Theater

Put on an Olivia puppet show. All you'll need is a shoe box, scissors, printables, and your child's vivid imagination!

Materials

• Puppet Theater Backdrops
• Scissors
• Shoe box (grown-up size is recommended)
• Glue stick
• Tape
• Olivia Printable Puppets
• Craft sticks (or popsicle sticks, pencils, chopsticks)

Directions

1. Step 1: Print the Backdrops

   Print out the nine-page <a href="olivia-puppet-templates.jhtml">Olivia Puppet Theater Backdrops</a> to decorate the inside and outside of your shoe box.

2. Step 2: Set Design

   Help your child cut out the backdrops to fit your box. Use the photo as a guide.

3. Step 3: Make the Puppets

   Print the <a href="olivia-puppets.jhtml">Olivia Puppets</a> and help your child cut them out. Glue or tape the characters to craft sticks (or popsicle sticks, pencils, chop sticks) and you've got puppets!

4. Step 4: Put on a Show

   Place the box on the edge of a table and add a loop of tape to the bottom to attach it firmly in place. Finally, let each child choose a character to play and improvise a scene between Olivia and the gang!
