Paint Rock Creatures

This craft has plenty of steps kids can do, like tracing, coloring, decorating, and cutting with safety scissors.

You'll need to allow extra time for glue or paint to dry.

Step-by-Step Video

Materials

Rocks (assorted shapes and sizes)
Paint (assorted colors)
Paintbrushes
Craft glue
Pipe cleaners
Googly eyes

Directions

Step 1
Take a trip outside and select the rocks with your kids.
Step 2
Clean and dry the rocks, and then use a pencil to outline the creature's features. When finished, it's time to start painting.
Step 3
Allow the paint to dry before adding any decorations. Glue on pipe cleaners for antennae and add the googly eyes.
Step 4
Allow the glue to dry thoroughly. And don't forget to name your new rock creature!
