Fuzzy Perrito Hand Puppet

Dora's puppy is a pleasure to pet thanks to his soft brown fur. Whip up this puppet with fabric glue, or use a sewing machine if you prefer.

Materials

• Perrito Hand Puppet Template
• 9- by x 12-in. pieces of brown fun fur
• Tan, black, white, blue, and yellow felt
• Fabric glue or a sewing machine

Directions

1. Step 1

   Print, cut out, and trace the template onto the wrong side of two 9- by 12-inch fun fur pieces. Cut out the shapes with fabric scissors.

2. Step 2

   Glue or stitch around the perimeter of the puppet, leaving an opening at the bottom for the hand.

3. Step 3

   Cut out the snout, eye pieces, nose, and mouth piece. Glue the mouth piece to the wrong side of the snout. Glue on the nose. Apply the pieces, including the eye pieces, to the puppet. Let dry.

4. Step 4

   From the blue felt, cut a long narrow strip for the collar. Loop the long strip at the top of the dog tag around the collar at its center point. Glue in place. Wrap the collar around Perrito’s neck; glue in place. Let dry.
