This craft requires extra parent involvement and a watchful eye, because it may require sharp tools or intricate handiwork.

You'll need to allow extra time for glue or paint to dry.

Materials

Peter Rabbit Theater Backdrops
Scissors
Shoe box (grown-up size is recommended)
Glue stick
Tape
Peter Rabbit Puppets
Craft sticks (or popsicle sticks, pencils, chopsticks)
Acrylic paint in various colors (optional)

Directions

Step 1
Print out the Peter Rabbit Backdrops to decorate the inside of your shoe box.
Step 2
Help your child cut out the backdrops to fit your box.
Step 3
Ask your child to paint the shoe box. Allow time for the shoe box to dry before selecting a backdrop to put in the theater.
Step 4
Print the puppets and help your child cut them out. Glue or tape the characters to craft sticks (or popsicle sticks, pencils, chopsticks) and you've got puppets!
Step 5
Place the box on the edge of a table and add a loop of tape to the bottom to attach it firmly in place. With your children seated in front of the box, they can carry out their own Peter Rabbit adventure!
