Directions

1. Step 1

   Invert your pinecone. Choose one that stands upright on its base.

2. Step 2

   For eyes, insert buttons, washers, pebbles, or blooms between the scales of the pinecone.

3. Step 3

   For noses, try corks, shells, buttons, or small pinecones.

4. Step 4

   For arms, use twigs, broken branches, floral stems, or short pinecones.

5. Step 5

   For hats, use wild flowers, pointy leaves, feathers, or pine branches.

6. Step 6

   For wings, try shells, leaves, or branches.

7. Step 7

   For antennae, try fork-shaped twigs, pointy leaves, or short sticks.

8. Step 8

   For feet, try maple leaves, pine needles, or broken twigs.

9. Step 9

   For a stand, set your pinecone on a large branch, piece of driftwood, or stone.

10. Step 10

    Name your Pinecone Pals. Ours are named Bloomsycone, Gnomezy Conenzy, One-Eyed Pal, and Swingin' Wingzy!
