Plex Bracelet

Inspired by Plex's robotic good looks, this jewelry is made with a combination of nuts and bolts from the tool chest, along with a few big beads.

Materials

Clear, stretchy beading cord
Wing nuts, washers, short springs, and other small hardware
Wooden and metal beads in yellow, black, red, and silver

Directions

Step 1
Cut a length of cord suited to your child's wrist size, making sure there is enough to use to tie a triple-knot at the end.
Step 2
Tie on the first bead, then add hardware and beads. Let kids mix and match. For best results, help kids create a pattern or rhythm. Use hardware that isn't sharp and isn't too heavy.
Step 3
Tie the bracelet or necklace closed. Since it's stretchy, it can be taken off and put on without untying it.

Tip: You can also make a matching necklace by using a longer length of cord.
