Space Alien Face Painting

Your preschooler can star in her own space-age adventure with a hand from a face-painting parent. Watch the step-by-step video to turn your kid into a friendly visitor from outer space.

Materials

• Water-based face paints
• Brushes or cotton swabs
• Water for mixing the paints (and for the cleanup)
• Washcloths, wipes, or paper towels (just in case)
• Sparkly eye shadow
• Silver, gold, or green lipstick

Directions

1. Step 1

   Start with the spooky third eye--make the outline in black.

2. Step 2

   Draw a circle in the center of the eye.

3. Step 3

   Next pick a color for the iris of the eye. Silver, gold, purple, and yellow work well.

4. Step 4

   Place a black dot for a pupil in the center of the iris.

5. Step 5

   Now, paint short black lashes on the top and bottom of the eye.

6. Step 6

   Put a little eye shadow radiating out of the corner of the eyes.

7. Step 7

   Then add color to the lips like silver, gold, or green. You'll find fun colors in the junior cosmetics section in most drug stores.
