Swiper Egg

Watch out! Swiper appears in the least likely places--including in Easter displays. Made from two plastic jumbo eggs, this unbreakable spring craft is easy to make with our printable, stick-able pieces.

Materials

• Blue jumbo plastic egg
• Orange jumbo plastic egg
• Printable templates
• Sticker paper
• Yellow construction paper
• Craft glue
• Sharpie or black marker
• Yellow or orange construction paper or cardstock
• Stapler (optional)

Directions

1. Step 1

   Separate the two plastic eggs. Fit the rounded blue part onto the pointy orange part. You won't need the two remaining parts, so you can set them aside.

2. Step 2

   Print the templates for all the pieces onto sticker paper and cut them out.

3. Step 3

   Peel the paper from the back of the eyebrows, eyes, and mouth. Apply these pieces to the front of the egg, leaving room for the snout.

4. Step 4

   Print the template for the snout. Trace it onto yellow construction paper. Snip notches as indicated on the template. Roll to create a tight cone. Glue to secure. Let dry. With the marker, draw a black nose on the tip. Fold the notches inward and apply glue to them. Press the nose onto the egg, holding it until the glue is dry enough to keep it in place. Let dry.

5. Step 5

   Cut a 1 1/2- x 6-inch strip from yellow or orange construction paper or cardstock. Curl it to create a ring and staple or glue it closed. Rest Swiper on his new stand!
