Team Umizoomi UmiCar Craft

Vroom, vroom... Beep, beep! Kids will love making sounds and going on mighty imaginary math missions with Team Umizoomi and their four-wheeled friend, UmiCar! Print our template and follow the easy instructions included below to create a toy that's sure to get their engines going!

This craft has plenty of steps kids can do, like tracing, coloring, decorating, and cutting with safety scissors.

You'll need to allow extra time for glue or paint to dry.

Create with us skills involve self-expression, experimentation, and imagination through visual arts (like painting and sculpting), dramatic play, cooking, and dance.

Materials

UmiCar Template
Scissors
Stapler
2 toilet paper rolls
Glue or tape
Brass fasteners

Directions

Step 1
Print the UmiCar Template on card stock or heavy weight paper. Once the ink dries, cut out all the pieces.
Step 2
Cut a square into the toilet paper rolls about 3 inches wide and 4 inches long. Kids can insert the Team Umizoomi printable action figures into these openings. Staple the rolls together side by side.
Step 3
Fold the UmiCar printable to create a box shape and apply glue to the tabs. Once dry, glue this onto the toilet paper rolls (cut the rolls if necessary).
Step 4
Poke holes into the center of the wheels and insert brass fasteners. Punch holes in the toilet paper roll and insert the wheels (see photo for reference).
Step 5
To create the Team Umizoomi <a href="/printables/umizoomi-shark-car-templates.jhtml">printable action figures</a> (located within the Shark Car Craft templates), cut Milli, Geo, and Bot out, fold each along the colored lines, and then glue both images back to back. Once complete, kids can ride off with a cool new craft and their mini superhero friends!

Tip: For a fancier UmiCar, we suggest painting the toilet paper rolls before attaching the UmiCar Template to it.
