This charging station begins as a crayon box. Kids create a foam sheet image of Tyrone and glue it on. Now Dad and Mom can hang electronics as they charge them.
Your backyard friends are on Nick Jr. every day
Open the top of the crayon box and cut off the top flap. Cut a U-shape in the front of the crayon box for an opening. Open the bottom of the box and snip out a piece to allow the charger's cord to run out of the bottom of the box. Reinforce the bottom of box with clear packing tape.

Using the templates, trace Tyrone's head onto orange foam, the antlers piece onto brown foam, and the cover pieces onto blue foam.

Cut out all of the pieces

Glue the cover pieces onto the front, top and sides of the crayon box.

As the glue dries, use a pen or marker to draw on Tyrone's mouth and nostrils on the orange head.

Glue the antlers to the back of the head. Then glue the head, complete with antlers, to the front of the box. Let dry.

Add the wiggly eyes, and then draw one eyebrow over each.
You can hang the charging station on a wall near the outlet in one of two ways: Either poke a hole for a hook so it can be hung on the wall. Or, add removable hanging strips to the back and another to the wall.

Drop Dad's phone, PDA, or MP3 player into the box. Slip the cord from the charger up through the bottom of the box, plugging it into the electronic. When the charger is not in use, keep the cord pulled up through the bottom of the box where it is easily accessible next time charging is necessary.
