Wonder Pets! Magnetic Clay Frame

Materials

• Wonder Pets Clay Frame Templates
• Scissors
• 1 two-oz. block each red, yellow, and turquoise sculpting clay (such as Sculpey®)
• Clay rolling pin, can, or any cylinder-shaped object
• Non-serrated plastic knife
• Glass baking pan
• Self-adhesive Magnetic tape
• Craft glue

Directions

1. Step 1

   Print and cut out Wonder Pets Clay Frame Templates.

2. Step 2

   Knead the whole block of turquoise sculpting clay in your hand until it's soft. Have your child roll a 1 1/2-inch ball, flatten it, and then use a rolling pin or any cylinder-shaped object to roll out the piece until it's big enough to cover the square shape.

3. Step 3

   Place the square shape on top of the clay layer, and have your child cut around the shape on the clay with the plastic knife. Peel away the edges.

4. Step 4

   Place the heart paper shape on top of the clay square, and have your child cut around the shape on the clay. Take out the central heart-shaped clay, and now you have a turquoise square with a heart cutout in the center. Save the clay heart so later you can trace the turquoise badge circle onto it.

5. Step 5

   Roll a 1 1/2-inch ball of red sculpting clay. Flatten and roll it out until it's bigger than the triangle shape. Use the knife to trace the triangle and the Wonder Pets "W" onto red clay.

6. Step 6

   Roll a 3/4-inch ball of yellow sculpting clay. Flatten the ball and roll it out. Trace the small circle onto yellow clay, and trace the big circle onto the turquoise clay heart.

7. Step 7

   Arrange the clay shapes like the image reference on the templates.

8. Step 8

   Place on the pan and bake at 275°F for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.

9. Step 9

   Cut a strip of magnetic tape and attach to the back of the frame.

10. Step 10

    Cut your photo to fit the frame and attach from behind. Place the frame on your fridge or anywhere that applies!
