Wonder Pets! Circus Train Play Set

Transform tissue boxes into a train and get ready for the circus to come to town. Then play along with your child as he calls "all aboard", and loads up the whole team!

Materials

• Circus Train Templates
• Scissors
• Empty rectangular and square tissue boxes
• Paintbrushes
• Craft paint (Choose your child's favorite color)
• Craft glue
• Hole punch
• Pipe cleaners
• Wonder Pets! Circus Action Figures
• Medium binder clips

Directions

1. Print and Cut Out the Templates

   Print the <a href="wp-circus-train-art.jhtml"><u>Circus Train Templates</u></a> and cut out all of the pieces along the dotted lines.

2. Make the Locomotive

   Paint the square tissue box and half of the toilet paper roll in the color of your choice. Let the paint dry completely. <br><br> Glue the toilet paper roll to the front of the tissue box to act as the headlight and glue a copy of the locomotive artwork (featuring the penguin) to each side of the tissue box.

3. Make the Cars

   Cut off the tops of two rectangular tissue boxes and glue the remaining templates to the four sides of the rectangular tissue boxes using the picture as a guide. <br /><br /> Fold the seat templates as indicated. Place one or two rows of seats in each car by gluing the tabs onto the side walls of the tissue boxes.

4. Connect Them Together

   Punch a hole at the front and back of each tissue box and connect the cars with pipe cleaners. Curl up the ends to prevent them from sliding out of the holes.

5. Make the Action Figures

   Print and cut out the <a href="wp-circus-figures.jhtml"><u>Wonder Pets! Circus Action Figures</u></a> as instructed. <br><br> Fold each figure in half and bend out he bottom tabs to create a base. Then glue the two sides of the characterss together to create double-sided figures. <br><br> For added stability, attach binder clips to the bottom of the figures.

6. Load Up the Train & On With the Show!

   Now you're ready to load everyone into the train and let the circus come to town!
