Materials

  • Wubbzy Zipper Pulls Printable
  • Self-adhesive laminating sheets (or laminate at your local copy store)
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Paper clips, ribbon or string
  • Optional: Try making these with shrink plastic ("Shrinky Dinks")
Tip: Reinforce the hole for the string with clear packing tape or circular clear reinforcement stickers.

Directions

  1. Simple Zipper Pulls

Print the Wubbzy Zipper Pulls Printable on a color printer and cut out the individual tags. After removing the paper backing of one self-adhesive laminating sheet, place the paper tags on top of the sheet's sticky side. Place another laminating sheet (sticky side down) on top of the paper tags. Cut out the tags with a 1/8-inch laminated border. Punch a hole where indicated and attach to your child's zipper with a paper clip, ribbon or string.

  2. Shrink Plastic Zipper Pulls (for longer life!)

To make shrink-plastic zipper pulls, print the Wubbzy Zipper Pulls Printable on shrink plastic, such as Shrinky Dinks (from office-supply and craft stores). Help kids cut out the shapes and punch holes where indicated. Follow the instructions on the shrink plastic package to shrink the zipper pulls in the oven (about 5 minutes). Remove from the oven, allow to cool, and attach to your child's zipper with a paper clip, string or ribbon.

Tip: You can use these as gift tags, too.
