Why did you create a new show for Dora?

We wanted to find ways to give Dora new adventures, a community of new friends, and also add to the rich preschool curriculum she already helps kids learn. When developing Dora and Friends: Into the City!, the creators kept in mind all the things that made Dora so beloved by preschoolers, and they just added to those qualities-- ensuring that she is still the Dora fans know and love!

What is the show going to teach my kids?

There's always something to learn from Dora and her new friends! Embedded into each episode are lessons intended to develop preschoolers' interpersonal skills, intrapersonal skills, linguistic skills, and music skills. Plus, Dora and Friends: Into the City is designed to inspire kids and teach them about community service and teamwork. How old is Dora?

In Dora and Friends, Dora is an elementary-school-aged girl who is an aspirational role model for your preschooler and for kids of all ages!

Is this a show for preschoolers?

Yes! Dora and Friends: Into the City has been developed for preschoolers, but the new adventures can be enjoyed by kids of all ages.

Where are Dora's friends from Dora the Explorer?

As always, your kids can catch Swiper, Backpack, Map and all of Dora’s other friends by watching Dora the Explorer every day on Nick Jr. and weekdays on Nickelodeon.

In Dora and Friends, Dora is joined by a diverse new group of friends who are also her peers and serve as role models for your preschooler. Her new friends have many talents and skills and interests, which they share with each other. And using their special talents, Dora and her friends work together to get every job done! ¡Todos juntos!

Who is Pablo?

Pablo is one of Dora's new friends, and he joins Dora on many of her new adventures in every episode of Dora and Friends.

Is Dora and Friends replacing Dora the Explorer?

No. Dora and Friends: Into the City! will air in the morning preschool block on Nickelodeon right alongside Dora the Explorer, which remains one of the most-watched preschool shows on television and has set the standard for quality and longevity for a preschool series.

When does Dora and Friends: Into the City premiere?

Dora and Friends: Into the City! premieres Monday, August 18, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), on Nickelodeon!
