In this practical and fun-filled DVD, Blue and her pals offer lots of suggestions to answer that childhood question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Covering a variety of professions from veterinarian to flight attendant, the episodes demonstrate the important role every individual plays in any process, whether it's building a house or creating a song. Each job looks so enjoyable, kids may wonder why it's called "work."

For Babies 0-2?

MAYBE Babies might not have the patience to sit through the entire episodes, but toddlers will probably get a lot out of "Blue Goes to the Doctor." Because a check-up can be especially frightening for kids in this age group, it may be reassuring for them to watch Blue go through her physical--including a shot, a listen to her heart, and a check of her reflexes--by hugging her own stuffed puppy, Polka Dots.

FOR PRESCHOOLERS 3-5?

YES Preschoolers will be fascinated by the different occupations to which they're introduced here. They'll also love solving the clues to discover which job she wants to try next and what she wants to do after her doctor appointment. They'll laugh at Slippery, who pretends to be a "fishersoap" and when Sidetable reveals the best part about going to the doctor is "opening my drawer and saying 'ah!'" They'll also grasp the fact that Blue's doctor is female and the nurse is male.

FOR KIDS 6-9?

MAYBE Most kids in this age group have outgrown Blue, but those on the younger end may still find much to enjoy. They'll be intrigued by Joe's new job of investigative reporter and may imitate the way he walks around with a microphone, asking questions and announcing, "That's the news. Now everybody knows."
