This DVD is best for preschoolers ages 3-5

Diego helps Santa get his stuck sleigh out of the snow and helps a penguin find his way to school in these two wintry rescue missions.

Just like his cousin Dora, Diego invites young viewers to join him on exciting animated journeys, encouraging them to interact and offering them an empowering opportunity to solve problems and save the day. Because Diego works at an animal rescue center, children are introduced to out-of-the-ordinary creatures like llamas, chinchillas, and condors, and taught interesting facts, including the defining characteristics of three different kinds of penguins. The heroic Diego may be single-handedly responsible for creating a new generation of animal scientists!

For Babies 0-2?

MAYBE Babies won't understand why the animals would worry that all-knowing Santa won't be able to find them, and they may be concerned when Santa's sleigh gets stuck in the snow. Two-year-olds may want to follow the animals' lead and make signs for their own houses to insure Santa doesn't miss them!

FOR PRESCHOOLERS 3-5?

YES Preschoolers will love learning about llamas, which can climb and are strong enough to pull heavy things like Santa's sleigh. They'll happily scream out their newfound knowledge to solve the animal puzzle at the end of each episode, and they'll laugh at the baby llamas taking a bath in the dust! Children in this age group may also relate to the bobo monkeys who cry because they know they've been naughty and don't think they'll get any presents. To 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, it will be a great relief when Santa assures the monkeys that everyone's naughty sometimes, and hands them each a gift.

FOR KIDS 6-9?

MAYBE Older kids have probably outgrown Diego, but those on the younger end may be fascinated to learn why llamas have long eyelashes (so they can see through dust and dirt) and padded feet (to keep them from making noise and slipping on ice), and to discover that all penguins aren't alike. They may also pick up new Spanish words, so don't be surprised to hear them call out "¬°cuidado!" instead of "watch out!"
