Rainy and sunny days are equally productive at the Heard, which offers the indoor attractions of a science museum along with the trails and outdoor adventures of aa 289-acre wildlife sanctuary. Changing and permanent exhibits highlight animals, gems, plants, and native-to-Texas ecosystems.

Family-Friendly Highlights & Tips

Visit the Heard Raptor Center, where injured birds of prey such as falcons, eagles, ospreys, and hawks are restored back to health and released back into the wild.
