		Clifford, the big--and big-hearted--red dog, stars in seven stories well worth celebrating! It’s hard to believe puppy-faced Clifford is celebrating his 50th birthday! Norman Bridwell’s lovable children’s book character is as playful as ever, and this fun-filled animated DVD is signature Clifford! According to the original story, it was the love from his own young owner, Emily Elizabeth, that made Clifford grow so big. If an abundance of love can do that, Clifford is likely to continue growing as new generations discover and fall for him over the next 50 years--and even more in dog years!


	Babies may not have the patience to sit through the whole DVD but, at 12 minutes apiece, the episodes are short enough to keep them entertained one at a time. They will wish they had a dog like Clifford, and 2-year-olds will find it hilarious that every time Clifford jumps up and down to cheer at Emily Elizabeth's soccer game, everyone in the bleachers flies out of their seats!

Preschoolers will find it reassuring that Clifford always comes to the rescue when anyone needs any kind of help. They'll also be happy to see that Emily Elizabeth's mom believes spending time together is the best part of a birthday and that she is so touched by handmade--and paw-made!--gifts. Young viewers will learn many important lessons, and will also enjoy many laughs, especially when Clifford ends up dressed as a hot dog for the big parade!


	Most kids in this age group have probably outgrown Clifford (well, not physically!) but those on the younger end may still benefit from the realization that we all want to be loved for who we are.
