Little Bear

Little Bear is a young bear cub who is always eager for the next adventure. Although Little Bear is just like an average human 6 year-old, he loves to explore and continues to grow throughout the series. His naps become less and less and his voice begins to get deeper as he grows. His friendly and welcoming nature allows children to relate to Little Bear and join in on the fun he encounters along the way.

Owl

Owl is the wise one. At times he acts like he is better than the rest of the characters, but nonetheless is very knowledgeable and sensible. Owl lives up in a tree house and only will participate in the fun and games if they are logical and rational. He is much like an older brother.

Mitzi

Mitzi is a mischievous monkey who at times is up to no good. She lives in a tree house in the forest near Little Bear's home. She sometimes tricks and cheats her way into winning some of the games she participates in with Little Bear and friends. However, Mitzi always feels guilty after hurting someone's feelings or misleading them, which allows young viewers to relate and sympathize with her at times.

Hen

Hen is a lively and energetic but somewhat of a feisty and fussy chicken as well. Her home is in a large chicken coop that she keeps clean at all times. She is sophisticated and mature, and likes things to be organized although her several nieces and nephews often create chaos in her spotless house. Even though Hen is very refined at times she always joins in on the fun and adventures with the rest of the crew. Hen is not a very good singer, but greatly enjoys Opera. Hen is a leader to Little Bear and friends.

Cat

Cat is a sluggish, sly and arrogant character who creates trouble at night. He loves to eat and play tricks on anyone that he comes across. When Cat leads his friends on many mischievous adventures he always takes them through a shortcut he claims he knows which ends up being much longer than the regular route would take. Cat's egotistical ways can lead him into problems at times but always provides an exciting adventure for viewers to join along in.

Emily

Emily is a 7-year-old human girl who lives with her Grandmother and dog Tutu in a cottage in the forest near Little Bear's home. She is the oldest of the group and wants to be the leader of everything they do. She is a good friend of Little Bear's but can sometimes be bossy, yet still very kind and caring. Emily does not go anywhere without her favorite doll named Lucy.

Mother Bear

Mother Bear is Little Bear's mother and helping hand whenever he needs it. She loves to cook and is very friendly and warm to whom ever she encounters. Whenever Little Bear is in a conflict Mother Bear usually has the answer to solve the problem. She loves to hum and always is upbeat.

Father Bear

Father Bear is a fisherman and Little Bear's father. He is a good role model not only to Little Bear but young viewers as well. Little Bear looks up to his father and sometimes is allowed to go fishing with him, which he loves. Father Bear and Mother Bear provide a good family setting for Little Bear to grow in.
