Julian is Olivia's best friend. At first, he seems an unlikely choice for her: he's shy, has terrible stage fright and is mainly an observer. But he's smart, with a self-deprecating sense of humor. Plus, he's always willing to go along with Olivia's ideas, if a bit reluctantly. He's the Watson to her Holmes!

Francine is Olivia's next door neighbor, and also her biggest rival. They basically define the term "frienemies": they're friends one day, enemies the next. Francine is a real rule follower who's always driven to do her absolute best--sometimes too driven.
