Follow these simple steps to create a great backyard game that's ideal for parties or any sunny afternoon.

What You Need
Blue's Bug Safari Printables printable
Magnifying glasses (optional)

What You Do

Step 1
Pair children together to see if they can find live examples of the bugs on Blue's Bug printable in your backyard. When they find bugs, ask the children what they notice about them. How do they move? Do they crawl or fly? How many legs do the bugs have? Are they fast or slow? Can you see their eyes? What kinds of noises do the bugs make? What do you think they eat? Provide magnifying glasses so kids can get a closer look.

Step 2
If you think kids might be squeamish about live bugs, print out two sets of Blue's Bug printable and cut out the pictures. Place one set of pictures on a table and hide another set around your yard. Send your clue-seekers out to find the cards.
