What You Need
Black felt
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
Mitten
Fusible interfacing (such as Stitch Witchery)
Needle
Black thread

What You Do

Step 1
Place the felt on a clean work surface and use a ruler and pencil to measure and mark two triangles about 1 inch along the bottom and about 1 inch high. Draw two eyes a little larger than a pencil eraser in diameter, an oval (for the nose) about 2 inches wide, and four whiskers about 3 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. Cut these shapes out with scissors.

Step 2
Place a 1-inch-square piece of fusible interfacing on the end of the mitten, place the felt nose on top, and iron to secure the nose to the mitten. (Or follow the instructions on the fusible interfacing package.) Attach the eyes with fusible interfacing.

Step 3
Using a needle and thread, stitch the ends of the whiskers to the mitten slightly above the nose. Place two stitches through each corner of the triangles to attach the ears to the mitten.
