To make this do-together craft, you'll need a puffy pen, felt, and tissues or cotton balls. You can easily find everything you need at craft stores and craft-supply Web sites.
When you're done, send us a photo of your kids playing with their pillow and send it to the Nick Jr. Gallery!
Step 2
Place the template for the Pirate Pig's head in the middle of a sheet of pink felt. Trace around the template and then use safety scissors to help your child cut out the Pirate Pig's head. Then trace around the template for the Pirate Pig's hat, nose, ears, and eyes and cut out all of these pieces of felt.
Step 3
Show your child where to glue the eyes, nose, ears, and bandage onto the Pirate Pig's face. Parents should use the black puffy paint pen to draw in the pig's smile and nostrils. Parents should also use the pen to draw black circles in the middle of the pig's eyes.
Step 4
Place a bead of glue around the bottom edges of both the top and bottom part of the pig's head. Press both pieces together and start to stuff cotton balls or crumpled up tissues into the pillow. Feel free to place as many or as few tissues inside of the pig, and then use glue to seal the pillow.
Step 5
Glue the smiley face and bones to the pig's hat. After the smiley face and bones have dried, glue the hat on top of the pig's head. If you choose to stuff the pig's hat, glue the back of the hat only half way so you have room to stuff the hat with tissue. After you finish stuffing the hat, glue the hat all the way around and press down hard.
Step 6
Ahoy, Matey! Now your little one will have their very own Pirate Pig Pillow to snuggle up with. Send us a photo of your child playing with the Pirate Pig Pillow. You could see it online or on TV!
