What You Need
Paper lampshade
Dark blue scrapbook paper (ours has a star design on it)
Double-stick tape
Yellow scrapbook paper
Decorative trim
Tapestry needle
Fabric glue

What You Do

Step 1
Cover the lampshade with the dark blue paper. Do not glue the paper because it will ripple. Instead, apply double-stick tape to the top and bottom edges of the shade.

Step 2
From the yellow paper, cut out a curvy star shape. Use craft glue to secure it to the shade.

Step 3
With the tapestry needle, poke holes all over the shade. We also poked a series of holes in an asterisk shape into the star.

Step 4
Glue trim to the top and bottom of the edges. Let dry thoroughly before adding the shade to a favorite lamp.
