A little paint, scraps of paper, and a lot of fun transform hard-boiled eggs into your favorite Nick Jr. pals.

What You Need
1 egg carton
Dark brown, purple, and pink felt
White paper
Black yarn
Dora Egg Template
1 hard-boiled brown egg
Fine-point brown and peach markers
Pink acrylic paint
Pink felt scrap
Craft glue

What You Do

Before You Begin
To make the stand for your Nick Jr. eggs, cut a cardboard egg carton into individual cells, turn each cell upside down, and cut an opening in the top just big enough to secure the base of the egg.

While the kids are painting the eggs, cut out felt, paper, and yarn pieces so they'll be ready to glue on once the eggs are dry.

Step 1
Cut two 2-triangles and one 1-triangle from the brown felt using Dora Egg Template as a template. Round the edges and cut off the top points.

Step 2
Glue the triangles on the egg to create Dora's hairstyle. Cut a small indent across the "bangs." Cut two 1/2-inch lengths of yarn and glue on as a cowlick.

Step 3
Cut out paper eyes. Color them with the brown marker. Glue the eyes on the egg.

Step 4
Using the peach marker, draw Dora's mouth and nose.

Step 5
Paint the egg stand pink.

Step 6
Cut a 1- by 2-inch rectangle from the purple felt. Fold it in half and glue down to make Backpack. Glue on two strips of felt for the strap.

Step 7
Glue on a pink felt "button."
