Zee Egg

This no-glue egg is super-duper quick to make. The craft foam and wiggly eyes are self-adhesive, and the collar can be stapled or taped.

What You Need
Large blue plastic egg, about 3 1/2 inches tall
Self-adhesive wiggly eyes
Yellow self-adhesive craft foam
Blue self-adhesive craft foam or construction paper
Clear adhesive tape or a stapler
Egg templates
Pink felt
Craft glue

What You Do

Step 1
For the face: Use the egg with its wide part at the top. Kids press on two wiggly eyes. Next, have them cut a tiny triangle from the yellow foam. Remove its paper backing and press it onto the face.

Step 2
For the wings: From the blue foam, cut two wings. Remove a small amount of paper backing at the "shoulder" of the wings only. Press one wing onto each side of the egg.

Step 3
For the collar: From the blue foam or construction paper, cut an 8- by 1/2-inch strip. Roll it into a ring, ends overlapping, and staple or tape it in place.

Step 4
For the feet: Using the egg templates, cut out two legs from pink felt. Dab glue on the legs and affix them to the bottom of the egg. Let dry. Set Zee inside the collar.
