What You Need
2 plastic grocery bags
1 package cotton batting
Adult-size royal-blue sweatshirt
8 royal-blue sport socks
2 yd. florist wire
8 rubber bands
8 large safety pins
12-in.-square black felt
Fabric glue or hot-glue gun
4-oz. plastic container bottom, cleaned
8-oz. plastic container lid, cleaned
Black acrylic paint
Velcro self-adhesive strips



What You Do

Step 1
Stuff the grocery bags with the cotton batting until full.



Step 2
Slip your child's arms through handles the handles of the bags, so they rest over his shoulders; there should be one bag dangling in the front and one in the back.



Step 3
Pull the sweatshirt over the bags.



Step 4
Stuff the socks loosely with the batting.



Step 5
Cut and place a piece of florist wire inside each sock and bend it to shape.



Step 6
Use a rubber band to tie off the top of the sock 1 inch from the top.



Step 7
Pin the socks around the inside bottom of the sweatshirt.



Step 8
Cut Oswald's features from black felt, as in photo. Glue to the sweatshirt.



Step 9
Glue the plastic container bottom to the larger lid to make a hat. Paint it black and let it dry. Attach it to the right shoulder of shirt with Velcro.
