What You Need
Pencil
Ruler
V-neck jumper (white, tan, or pink)
Fabric paint (white and two shades of pink)
Masking tape (optional)
Pink slick pen (optional)
Purple headband
Silver paint pen
White tights
Pink socks
Pink bracelets
Pink Barbie wig (at party stores)

What You Do

Step 1
Use a pencil and a ruler to mark stripes on the jumper about 1 1/2 inches wide. Our jumper in "light stone" fabric is from Land's End at Sears. You could also use a pink nightgown or a small adult t-shirt.

Step 2
Paint alternating light- and dark-pink stripes on the jumper. Tip: Cover every other stripe with masking tape before painting one shade of pink. Allow to dry, cover the painted stripes, and apply the other shade of pink. Or trace over the pencil marks with a pink slick pen (from craft-supply stores). Its paint becomes raised when dry, helping you stay inside the lines. Add white piping around the collar and arms with white fabric paint.

Step 3
Dot the purple headband with a silver paint marker. If you can't find a purple headband, cover a plain one with purple ribbon.

Step 4
Add white tights, pink socks, pink bracelets (kids can make their own with beads from a craft store), and a pink Barbie wig.
