What You Need
Recycled boxes and cans of various sizes
Wrapping paper
Colorful ribbon and trim
Scissors
Craft glue
Backyardigans Clutter Buster Labels
Marker (to fill in the labels)

What You Do

Step 1: Trim and wrap recycled boxes and cans
We made a DVD holder out of a pasta box by cutting the side diagonally; we made a marker tin out of a tomato sauce can; and we made a CD holder out of a tea box. Decide with your preschooler what they could help keep organized, choose good size boxes and cans and start wrapping!

Step 2: Add ribbon and trim for fun
Make these clutter busters colorful with shiny ribbon or fancy trim. We used ribbon and pompom trim to line the edges (also helps hide ragged cutting!). Other decoration ideas include buttons, macaroni, foam shapes, photos, etc.

Step 3: Label it!
Help your preschooler label their stuff with these Backyardigans Clutter Buster Labels. Now, it's their stuff! Organize clean-up moments during the day and use these clutter busters to focus their attention.
